Dual aging for rare complexity
Têtu Grands Millésimes from Domaine la Haille are distinguished by their strong personality. No blending — only the vintage of the distillation. This cuvée benefits from exceptional dual aging: a first aging in traditional estate barrels with 30% new wood, then a second in a white wine barrel — the Cuvée Authentique, aged 15 months in new barrels. This subtle marriage enhances the elegant woody notes of the Armagnac without ever overpowering them.
Characteristics
- Appellation: Armagnac
- Volume: 70 cl
- Alcohol content: 40%
- Grape variety: 100% Ugni Blanc
- Terroir: Deep clay and silt soils (Baco) and sandy-silt soils (Ugni Blanc)
- Aging: Dual aging — 30% new barrel + Cuvée Authentique white wine barrel (15 months)
Vinification
After low-pressure pressing, the grape juice ferments naturally, without any additives. The wine is kept on its lees until distillation to prevent oxidation and preserve maximum fruitiness.
Distillation
Distillation in an Armagnac-type column still, which gives the brandy its roundness and fruitiness.
Tasting notes
An Armagnac of great elegance, where the subtle woody notes of the dual aging blend with aromas of candied fruit and spices. An authentic and refined expression of the Gascon terroir.
