In 2014, to commemorate the tercentenary of the estate's entry into his family, Gilles de Boisséson created a rare blend of old armagnacs from the cellar and vault of Château de Lacquy.

Since 1711 in Lacquy, through the upheavals of History — six Kings, two Emperors, five Republics, three revolutions — armagnac has continued to be distilled and aged with love for generations to come. One must have time ahead and behind to produce armagnac, to blend what past generations have left and to let what future generations will taste age.

The quintessence of this long work is housed in this Carafe des Siècles, engraved with the family monogram, and whose case is a raw pedunculate oak box from the forests of Aquitaine. This is the same oak used to make the barrels in which the estate's armagnacs are aged.

Tasting notes

This unique blend of armagnacs distilled between 1800 and 1980 is characterized by its great finesse and voluptuousness on the palate. Without aggression, it exudes aromas of great complexity with floral notes, with hints of spices, vanilla, cocoa, and candied fruits. Its length on the palate is exceptional, leaving lingering aromas of incredible power combined with a delicate sweetness.
